Autmaps is a proprietary in-house mapping software developed under the Autmow name and intended to be used to aid in robotic mower installation, planning and upkeep.
The logo developed incorporates the elements of the mapping software through iconography. The widespread location icon capping the "A" created with polylines, an integral component of the mapping software.
From the main dashboard, users can browse existing projects, organize in folders, sort by tags and taxonomy or create a new project
After finding or setting up a project, users can view or edit a quick summary of all relevant information like client details, tags and a selection of information pertaining to the map to better estimate materials needed and overall size. Users can also share the project as a view only for clients or as a project within thier organizations.
The primary intent of the web-based software is to map and survey areas intended for robotic mowing applications. The variety of colors available and details provides flexibility around the intent behind certain zones and defining the intent behind them. Users can also add details pertinant to those areas to assist in planning and information sharing.
The polyline tool is a flexible component of the software that defines linear distance vs the area size shown in the polygonal approach. These can be used to fill in the blanks on new construction, identify distances for wireless product or to calculate the length and location of guide wire for more accurate mapping and record keeping.
A crucial component of any survey is accurate information tracking. The use of the markers in areas of interest can help in identifying installation notes, problematic areas, repairs, landscaping and other factors that can impact the success of a large-scale robotic mower installation. Each marker is visually unique allowing for flexibility of use depending on the client.
